<font size=2>Whatcom Counseling & Psychiatric Clinc</b> <br><br>
1. Provide psychiatric evaluations for patients referred from within the
clinic as well as <br>
community providers. Some of these evaluations are one time only for
consultation or treatment <br>
recommendations, for community physicians, while others are for on-going
medication <br>
management. <br>
2. Prescribe psychotropic medication where indicated and manage the
medications for clinic <br>
patients. <br>
3. Provide emergency evaluations referred by the clinic emergency staff,
as required. <br>
4. To attend all meetings, consultations and trainings, which are
required by the supervisor, to <br>
enhance patient issues and continuing education requirements. <br>
5. Provide teaching/consultations to clinicians. <br>
6. Work with clinic Psychiatrist in a mutually agreed upon way to
collaboratively prescribe <br>
benzodiazepine medication to clinic patients. <br>
7. Review Medicare patient charts, treatment plans for patients that have
been evaluated by the <br>
nurse practitioner. Meet with clinicians to review prescribed treatment.
