<p><big>The Nurse Practitioner (NP) is a primary health care
provider who is licensed in the <br>
State of North Carolina by a joint subcommittee composed of
members of the Board <br>
of Nursing and the Medical Board. The NP is approved to
provide quality patient care <br>
in Johnston Memorial Hospital clinical practices by the
Credentials Committee. The <br>
NP services include but are not limited to ordering,
conducting and interpreting <br>
appropriate diagnostic and laboratory test, prescription of
pharmacologic agents <br>
and treatments and nonpharmacologic therapies. The NP is to
perform all duties <br>
as described in the job description in an efficient and
professional manner. The NP <br>
will be supervised by the Medical Director and Practice
Manager. The NP will act as <br>
collaborative provider and promote a team working
relationship with the staff of <br>
Johnston Memorial Hospital and Johnston Family Care Centers.

<p><big>Nurse Practitioner must have a Master's Degree from an
accredited university <br>
which meets the requirements and approval of the North
Carolina Board of <br>
Nursing. The NP must also be approved by the Credentials
Committee of <br>
