[NPInfo] Plantar Fasciitis--HUMOR WARNING

I once dated a professional rodeo bull rider who, on occasions, was known to
wear his boots to bed. I always thought it was because he was just
rip-roaring drunk and passed out before he was able to remove them. Gosh,
now I feel really bad... he might not have been an alcoholic at all-- he
have been just simply been treating a case of severe plantar fasciitis! I
guess I need to remember to always be a clinician first and not jump to
hasty conclusions?? <G>

Better yet, try a cowboy in steed of the cowbo0y boots. He'd make a good bed
pardner. That would cure anything if you ask me. He could stirrup trouble
though and give you saddle sores but your mind would be off your feet. Or
you could be saddle horn-y. OR you could get CHAP-ped lips? Enough horsing
around with these replies. I'm expecting Michael to pipe in any minute now.
You might say I'm reining him in and spurring him on.
I'm giddy-yap from all the New Years fun.

Priscilla

Hi Bev-

Plantar fasciitis is tough to get rid of. I've had several patients who
sleep at night with a cowboy boot on the affected foot. They swear by it!
But of course, they've also had injections, NSAIDs, do the exercises, etc.

Good Luck!

Anyone have any suggestions for plantar fasciitis treatment after 2
injections and still pain.
What kind of device could assist with dorsiflexion at night? What type of
boot is it --- is this worth trying?

Thanks.
Bev
