Lynn--
You can only control so much in your environment. When you've reached the
end of what you can control, you can only throw your hands up in the air,
pour a drink, sit back, let the powers-that-be take over, and see what the
next chapter in you life will bring you. I know that each time I think I'm
at the bleakest point in my life (and I've had more than my share!), a new
and better opportunity pops up. Life truly is an adventure!!
Just know that we are all here to help and support you-- literally, if
that's what it takes. Like all families, we can take care of our own <G>.

And I want to hug each and every one of you! I know there will be a day
when I say "By, am I GLAD this happened". But that day was NOT today (and
will not likely be tomorrow either!). And while I do have the resources to
go for a short time, I can't do it indefinitely and I think the fact that we
just bought the new house is really what is making me nuts...but mine is on
the market (pitiful as the housing market is!) and I am just going to hope
and pray that it sells quickly at a good price....The Powers that Be did not
bring me to this point in my life, only to abandon me now so I just need to
chill and have a bit of faith...and work even harder in PT....I just wish
that at some time in my life, someone had given a lecture on what to do when
this happens....

Dena,
I could so hug you! What a great idea...and no big deal for some of
us. (for one month)
Lynda,
You are an inspiration for us all. I know that this will work out
but I do so understand what a terrible time you are having. Is there
anything that any of us can do...really? Please email us off list. I
do think that this list is precious to us. (even tho dysfunctional at
times) I am so looking forward to getting together at some point.
Please know that like the verizon network we see on the
commercials...you have great support behind you. That doc doesnt
deserve you anyway.....one day at a time.

all the people in the country who are on both Medicaid and Medicare?

everyone on this list pays one bill a month for you, you could be okay for a
long time!! LOL

1 other job as being the worst I have ever had..I quit that one) but I do
not want this to reflect badly on me when I apply for other positions. I
understand that what she did was TACKY, as well as morally, ethically, and
professionally WRONG, but I am unsure if it is Legally Wrong. I have calls
into 2 employment attorneys now to try to get an answer to this question. I
do not qualify for unemployment because I have not been released medically
to work full time. I can not get COBRA as you have to have 20 or more
employees to require this. I do not qualify for disability because in
Virginia you must be 100% disabled to qualify for anything. I am too old for
medicaid and too young for social security. I am not sure how understanding
the power company and mortgage company are going to be when I run out of $$.
I will start sending out CV's and pounding the pavement but for today, I
have done all I can
