[NPInfo] Target, Walmart and Costco for drugs

Another interesting thing is that Walmart often has employed people who
wouldn't be 'employable' in 8-5 type more competive/demanding jobs, so it
fills/provides opportunities for many folks without any apparent
discrimination & with considerable accommodations- people with lots of
hard miles on them, all sorts of otherwise disabled looking people, really
slow moving folks (but friendly and helpful), obvious persons 'in
recovery', etc. etc. They seem to use a lot of people well who just
wouldn't get hired by anyh other companies or small business anywhere
else, and puts them to work. So, in spite of lots of often unfair,
unproven criticism they do fill a need for lots of people- employment,
good prices, convenience. They have become a model of distribution,
customer satifaction, competive practices, growth, market flexibility,
etc. etc. It's a model of Capitalism. Wonder why the right-wing talk show
hosts are so down on Walmart?! They have even taken some heat on luring
illegal migrants out of the agricultural jobs and into subcontracted
cleaning positions staffed by minority owned businesses- they owned up to
it, paid some fines & back to business as usual.
