Greg, When I was not working for the hospital, who provides us disability 
insurence, I bought it from the Mississippi Nurses Association.  It was a 
good buy and covered me if I could not do the work I was trained to do.  I 
forgot how much it was but not unreasonable.  I feel everyone should have 
disability insurence, it only makes sense.  My brother-in-law was an 
insurence salesman and came down with RA and was  soon not able to write and 
type and walk well.  His disability gave him 3/4 of his salary so he was 
able to keep on taking care of his self and his wife until he turned 65 and 
got on medicare then it stopped.  Jane Johnson FNP
