I encounter this nearly nightly in my clinic. I just put them on the most
comparable US meds. Half the time these patients are not approved US meds.
For your patient, I would assume GLidazide is Glipizide and Glucobay is
Acrobose (Precose) so it should not be hard.

why not just try glucophage 1000 mg 1 po bid, Avandia or Actos and
Glipizide.

Have you tried WHO? They have a database of pharmacopeias. Here is one
of the URLs

This is the info listed for Turkey but I am sure that they [WHO] would be
able to direct you further.

Subject: [APN-Forumnj] DM med question
Dear Folks,
I have a new patient who recently fled an abusive husband in Turkey and
has settled here with her daughter.
She is on glucophage and 2 other DM meds..."Glidazide" (also known as
Diamicron) and "Glucobay". Her DM is out of control and I need to know what
these meds are in order to make changes. I tried Google to no avail. Any
answers?
