[NPInfo] AANP Recertification HELP!!

Just to throw a little wrinkle into this: I certified as an adult NP with both AANP and ANCC. Thank goodness I had both, because when my new AANP card arrived after a ridiculous wait (the old cert was within a few days of expiring by the time it came), it had me mis-identified ("certified") as an FNP! The state would not allow me to practice under the wrong certification, even though I met criteria for re-certification and the problem was through no fault of my own. If I'd not had the ANCC certification, there would have been at least a two-week gap in my ability to practice had I not had the other to "fall back on."

I would try whatever it takes to get to a human being at AANP. Try googling an alternate phone number, or look at past correspondence for an alternate phone number. I'm out of town right now, or I would look up the number I called for you.
