Hi Linda and Robert!

  Robert, thanks for keeping us updated.  Linda, I have not met you but know from your posts how intelligent, and passionate and talented you are, and all of that is going to come back. There is a book called Eat, Pray, and Love, written by a woman who went on a spiritual quest.... maybe this is your time to Eat, and enjoy what is pleasurable for you at this time. On your own time table, you will move on to what feels good for you next whether it be Meditation, Prayer, or some other Spiritual enrichment. Just honor yourself right now, and be in the moment, don't rush anything, everything will come back the way it is supposed to. You already have the Love, from your husband, and all of those that care about you and are praying for you. Hey Everyone: 

Just another little update here; I have not gotten an official medical update so I am only going on what I see and participate in. 

They have removed many of the attachments from her today (Foley, arterial line, etc) and they are looking to move her out of the Neuro-ICU unit as soon as beds on a certain floor become available. This may happen in the next few hours. At this point, she has gone to the bathroom needing only assistance with walking there. We have gone for at least two brief walks down the hall of the unit at her request. She still has some nausea but that has not been at the point where it could not be managed effectively. She is now munching on her favorite crackers but I still won’t let her eat them in bed. :) 

She is now much more alert and we have started going through many of the messages of encouragement that you all have left starting from the last one she read before going into surgery. These all have made her extremely touched to see such an outpouring of support both at home and even internationally (Denmark and the United Kingdom). She has been given a positive report from the nursing staff, especially Nancy (Picture Posted). 

I can not express to you all how much we appreciate your support. It is something that has truly helped make this ordeal easier to manage for Linda and myself. I am sure that based on how fast Linda is recovering; it won’t be long before she can tell you herself. Though we both know and appreciate the good fortune that we have been blessed with, you all have eradicated any slight doubt that we could ever attempt to muster.
