Does anyone have any ideas over which is better for "firm" or business insurance? My colleague Meg and I wrote a short article published in Advance about our personal experience (which was not great) with Marsh as we NEVER did end up getting insurance for our LLP, and I have been waiting now for 3 months, yes 3 months! to hear back from NSO for my own practice PC even though it is for myself only, no employees or independent contractors...they seem to freeze up if you mention you are a corporation or a business...so which is it? This is ridiculous. I am now going to probably switch..or maybe resort to a broker to get it for me. Not to mention the cost triples, but yes I agree, Florida sounds worse.. Carla

Florida is the wild west of malpractice litigation. Being sued here isn't even a shameful thing...it is luck of the draw.

It's renewal time for my FNP malpractice insurance and I discovered on the
back of the renewal that my NSO policy which costs $1,247 ends up costing a
lot in administrative/marketing fees. A whopping 40% of the premium!
I took a look at Marsh, that is offered through ANA and it costs $1095 minus
10% for having ANCC certification. So I'd pay $986.50 Marsh/Affinity gets
27.5% administration fee. Better than 40%!
Both are "Occurrence" policies.
Anyone know of any reason why I should not switch?
