Meg: Agree except for one thing. IN OUR SOCIETY PHYSICIANS ARE LOOKED AT AS
THE DEFINATIVE EXPERT ON HEALTH RELATED MATTERS. The public does not know
that this is all politics and money. Some of the way things are said sound
like they make sense. That is where our leaders have to chime in, letting
people know this is not about quality of care. Even just pointing out that
these clinics all have physician involvement can turn around the AMA spin
and rest assured, this is scripted. What I have been doing is trying to
cleanly, clearly let people know we are treating more complex illnesses
routinely and we are high quality clinicians . Not trying to argue-just
saying there is more to this than what the AMA spin is.
