Many reasons:

They believe that if we keep our self "invisible" and don't make waves, we
will awake "someday" with 200,000 PAs who can then change things.

They have been told that if we try to "open up" our legislation to change
our name, the AMA/state med societies will then work hard to change all the
state laws back to 1975.

None of the Executive Directors of the AAPA have been PAs and I truly
believe do not understand this problem. You all may disagree but I do not
believe anyone understands what it feels to be a PA other than an NP. PAs
tend to believe people who have a history in health politics, wear flashy
suits and tell them what's best for them.

Leave everything alone. The conference makers millions a year. Why start
problems?? The AAPA gets 7 thousand to a conference.

AND more.....................................
