I agree with the other responder about Chantix. Best thing to come down the
pike and highly successful. I always tell the client to enroll in their
free support program as nothing is a magic pill and their behavioral mod
program is a big factor in the success.
Vivid dreams, sometimes even nightmares bad enough to have folks give it up,
nausea and HA are the main se's but no drug to drug interactions and overall
have been very pleased.
Take-home message at the last workshop I went to is to keep folks on it at
least 6 mos to improve relapse rates.
We already have a substance abuse professional since we're a federally
funded CHC so not personally in a spot to run these clinics but would be
great for those in their own practice.

Dear Colleagues:

Please take 60 seconds out of your busy day to ponder these questions:

What would REALLY help you in getting patients to stop smoking?

What do you need that¹s not out there?

I hear Chantix really works, if you are in primary care are you prescribing
it? What about the product itself do you need more info on?

Would there be interest in opening up a smoking cessation clinic as part of
your normal practice? What if there was some info to receive on how to do
this? Would the extra revenue you brought in help?

Just some questions, if you would be so pleased to let me know your
feelings.

All my best,
Dave
