[NPInfo] Get me off

With all due respect, Elizabeth, you haven't given us much of a chance.

A list-serve is by nature a discussion group. There are endless topics to
discuss. NP info is a forum to discuss those less clinical things that still
affect our practice and profession.

Regarding the PA who regularly contributes to this forum, Mr. Dave Mittman:
you might want to give him a chance, too. He has made many contributions not
only to the PA profession, but to our NP profession, too. He founded the
American College of Clinicians, which advocates for both of our professions.
Because of the strength of the AMA and its numbers, we NPs and PAs need
numbers to advance our political "agenda," too, as it were. We can do more
working together, than working apart. He recognizes we are different
professions, but we do face many of the same issues. An awareness of these
things will only make you a better practitioner.

If you'd like more of a clinically based discussion, you might try
NP-clinical, though you will find some decidedly non-clinical discussion
there at times.

This is a collegial forum of many who've been on this list for years who try
to be there and be supportive of both new and experienced NPs. That support
sometimes extends beyond the professional to the personal level, for our
colleagues are sometimes patients and always humans.

How about starting over and giving it a bit more time? Introduce yourself to
us, tell us a little about yourself, participate a bit, use your delete
button judiciously. Then, if you still don't appreciate what this list has
to offer, then unsubscribe. The directions are at the bottom of each e-mail
or available through NP-Central.

Best regards,
Diane Dito, NP

I've been on this list-serv for 3 days and I want off. This endless stream
of emails is annoying... and why is it predominantly the opinions of PAs? I
signed up because it was called NPinfo at NURSE.NET!!!!
