A smoking cessation clinic would not be effective in my rural area and would likely not result in additional revenue. Haven't tried it, can't say for certain.

People need as much convenience as possible to get started on the drug. I give them my best smoking cessation spiel along with the cost info and tell them that when they are ready, I will prescribe it. When they are ready to start the drug I repeat most of the spiel and write the prescription.  

About the product-real life stories help. One of my best friends used it to quit. She learned to time her doses around her heavy smoking periods. She found that she smoked heaviest early in the morning and right after work. She was able to time her second pill about an hour before she got off work in the afternoon. It seemed to be effective for those cravings. I give people permission to mess with the timing of the drug as long as they don't exceed the recommended dosage for 24 hours.

I have also used it for chewing tobacco use. It has been effective in that use as well.

I hear Chantix really works, if you are in primary care are you prescribing
it? What about the product itself do you need more info on?

Would there be interest in opening up a smoking cessation clinic as part of
your normal practice? What if there was some info to receive on how to do
this? Would the extra revenue you brought in help?

Just some questions, if you would be so pleased to let me know your
feelings.
