[NPInfo] free cmes vs nurse CEs at a price

So, I having been doing some online CME courses, got to wondering why are there so many free CMEs, yet the CEs for nurses have to be paid for.  Are there free CEs for nurses anywhere online?   I have to play cacth up for my license renewal in Nov. I am thinking of going to our state convention, but they are only giving 8 CEs for 2 1/2 days! Are there any interesting conventions, workshops, etc coming up?
