[NPInfo] DNP Program - University of Tennessee

Rose--
Most schools that currently offer the DNP program are only offering the 2 yr
"bridging" programs for those that already have a MSN as a NP. It's the 4 yr
DNP NP programs that are taking longer to formulate and start as most
schools are having to convert the 2 yr MSN NP programs to the new 4 yr DNP
format.
Just do a google and you'll be surprised at how many of the bridging
programs there are already up and running-- and undoubtedly spitting out new
DNPs by the hundreds each year (in total-- not per program <G>). Warning--
the programs are NOT cheap. I think by completion, my 2 yr program will have
cost over $25,000. Thank goodness for my mother giving me an advance on a
chip of my inheritance early! I'm still paying off my student loans from my
MSN program after 14 yrs........

Hi, Please forgive me for not appreciating that discussion for what it was.
Can we discuss the Bridge Programs again ...and who offers them? I assume
this is for the "seasoned" (not old) NP vs the new RN to NP. Am I correct?
Thanks
