When a  change like this is made regarding the profession, I think we fail to 
look at  what it will mean to future generations, and we focus way too much 
on how it  affects us.  I have always believed the DNP to be a good step for 
the  profession.  In doing so we need to think 20 years in the future after I  
retire, how will this help those professionals of the next generation.   How 
will it help us in getting to the 'table' to be more involved in making  the 
healthcare decisions for the country and less relegated to follow what the  
physicians cram down our throats.
