[NPInfo] "...line that has been drawn, but it's not between the NPs & Phy...

I think that anyone who practices as a NP should be able to sit for
any NP exam out there.

If you think of it, having a DNP is not easy to sell as being special
if you are sitting for the same ANCC certification exam that Master's-
prepared NPs take and pass.

It's not all new grads we're talking about: there are some
experienced Master's prepared NP's taking certification exams (if
they were late re-certifying using the continuing ed criteria, they
have to re-take the exam).

So what do you do if you are Mary Mundinger & her friends on the
CACC? You get a DIFFERENT certifying body to write an exam for DNP's
and you exclude Master's prepared NPs from taking it, so there's no
basis for comparison between the DNP group and the Master's group.

So I think a Master's prepared NP should be able to take this new
exam too. Then the DNP's can't use it to set themselves apart and
undermine Master's prepared NPs. (Of course, they wouldn't MEAN to do
it; it just would happen. What do they call that: the law of
unintended consequences, I think.)
