[NPInfo] DNP Program - University of Tennessee

I had to take a nap, too.... an impromptu one on the couch where I seem to
fall asleep a lot (think that just goes with the DNP program).... Charlie
Gibson's voice on the 5:30 p.m. news ALWAYS puts me to sleep these days <G>.

If by "BF" you mean boyfriend, I have to admit that I probably have the best
one around. He has stuck by me and been supportive when there was absolutely
nothing in it for him for months <G>. I have promised him my undivided
attention when this is all done (he deserves it!)... or at least for the
interval between the DNP and whatever I do next.

Sorry to hear about your charm school experience-- but at least you got to
go! I always wanted charm/modeling school (John Robert Powers???) but that
was one of the many dreams I had to abandon as the oldest of 5 kids in a
"poor" ever-mobile military family. Wonder if there is charm school for
middle-aged adults-- or are we too old to learn at this stage in our
lives???

Wow, Dena! I had to take a nap after reading your post! :)
And you still have time to be active on the lists. Do you sleep? Now I
understand the Starbucks threads!
That is so neat and I'm so proud of you! Maybe a better BF awaits after all
this?

Priscilla Merrill (Beauty School Drop-Out, actually I truly did get kicked
out of Charm School in 7th grade .. . long story, sad!)

Well, after 20 months of working full-time (over 40 hours/wk), changing jobs
mid-stream, moving to a new home, undergoing two training trips to Seattle
for job training, and training for five 1/2 marathons and a full marathon
last year, all while doing this DNP program and maintaining something like a
3.98 GPA, I can attest to the fact that it IS do-able... certainly NOT fun
and definitely NOT easy, but do-able. Of course, I did end up having a
melt-down last year and broke up with my wonderful boyfriend for 3 months
while I screamed that I didn't have time to breath and needed time alone to
catch up on papers that needed to get done...<sigh>. During that 3 months
break is when I decided to change jobs and move so I really didn't get much
of a break at all. But all that is almost behind me. Now, I'm off to law
school next... or beauty school... just can't decide......... LOL
