NPs supposedly are unable to write for PT in Missouri, too, which I just
found out recently. I haven't had time to research it yet, but my PT friends
say it is written into the state PT regs that they can only eval and treat
following an order from a physician. Yeah, it's goofy that we can order
meds, but not PT. Give me a break!

Does anyone out there from Michigan (Sue?) know what exactly the deal behind
NP's ordering it Michigan is? How did it come to be that I can't order it?
Is it a Medicare or reimbursement issue? Are NP's in other states
prohibited? It just drives me nuts that I can order for someone to have
dangerous medications, but not some PT for their ankle sprain.
