Lynn--
Regarding your post on "complaining"... I am active in my state and local
NP orgs. and have been "complaining" to everyone I can about my disagreement
regarding requiring a DNP for entry-level practice. I DISAGREE and for
those of you out there that think that disagreeing with a change is
unprofessional or distasteful or un-ladylike, or whatever, I have to tell
you that I don't. I think that going along with a change that you
fundamentally think will be detrimental to the profession in the long run,
just because you don't like conflict, is absolutely irresponsible. This
"can't we all just be professional and get along" attitude that is being
pushed by those who are pro-DNP is just a way to try to shut up the dissent.
Don't tell me I can't "complain" about something that I think is wrong and
financially/politically motivated, and that will hurt the NP profession.
Lisa
