Dena: Congrats on the doctorate. Well deserved.
When I was on rotations (about 1873) I did 2 months as an intern on
female medicine.
There was a lady in a bed with a Yiddish accent that said
"Doctor"..............., "Doctor".................,
"Doctor"............... "Doctor"..................,
"Doctor".................... all night and most of the day. Too bad we
can't post voice but you all know the lady. All I could remember was
me thinking thank God she was not saying "PA"........,
"PA"............., PA"......................
(she would have had she known).
We also had the cat lady who would meow all night and then 2 other
ladies that would bark like dogs at her when they were fed up. It was
not Yale..................
Oy Vay.
