Screen all elderly patients with a memory complaint. The complaint may be 
raised by family or caregiver. All pts greater then or equal to 75 years 
should be screened regardless of clinical presentation. 
NO do not take the Alz pt off their ChEI or NMDA antagonist meds prior to 
testing. You do not want them to perhaps perform worse on the test you are 
giving them while they are  off their med only to restart them back on. 
Discontinue therapy when pts advance to loss of all cognitive and 
functional abilities.

, 
should you take the person off the meds( they already know they pt has the 
 
disease).?
