I agree but I also feel that the organizational level must hear from membership regarding their needs and desires.  I was also interested in the union nurses in Michigan who are represented by UAW.  What is their stand on this?

These changes occur during contract negotiations which were just recently
completed. While making patients who have UAW negotiated contracts and BCBS
policies aware and asking for their help is a good thing to do, a concerted
effort before negotiations on an organizational level is what will be most
effective.  As my earlier post states, progress was made with the recently newly
negotiated contracts and many of those policies have opened up for us to be
reimbursed directly.
