[NPInfo] pharmacist and injections

I'm not sure I understand your objection.... is it because you don't think
pharmacists are capable of giving shots (uneducated patients give them to
themselves and others every day), the fact that they don't know everything
about the meds (hey-- they're pharmacists-- they should know more about the
meds than WE do!), they wouldn't know what to do in case of an emergency
reaction (as pharmacists, they would certainly know what emergency meds to
give and they can call 911 like everyone else), the fact that they might not
know who is eligible for flu shots and who isn't (that info is right on the
patient's consent form-- pharmacists can read as well as we can), is it the
fact that they are charging for it and you're not (will losing an injection
fee break you?), or is it simply a territorial thing??? So why are you so
angry about this? Where's the problem?

Why you not read the Stark/antikickback law. I think if the pharmacy is
referring. I do not have to lighten up , this is america the last time I
checked!

Lighten up, it's their libility and the more people that get the flu shots
the better. It is much easier and cheaper for some people to get them from
the pharmacy as they are already getting their meds there. Some pharmacies
here do it and I am all for it. Since, I am retiring, soon, I may get mine
from them in the future, who knows.?
