     Stephanie,
          Thanks for the tip.  Yes, I read Joshua's book, he was the first person to sail around the world alone.  Great story.
          I heard a couple of the Aubrey/Maturin books on tape.  Still look forward to the Hornblower series for when life slows a bit.  Kind of you to take the time to give me your impressions.

I'm not a sailing person but I really enjoyed that, also historical 
nautical fiction like the Aubrey/Maturin novels and the Horatio 
Hornblower series. They're addictive.
