[NPInfo] ? Off Topic, Perhaps Not-- Books

I belong to a book club, and we read books I would not think of reading. Some I have really enjoyed recently:

* Kite Runner (now a movie I haven't seen) and *A Thousand Splendid Suns - both by Kalil Hosseini
The Art of Mending
The Red Tent
Atonement (now a movie I haven't seen)

I also enjoy Jodi Picoult, we've read some of her books in our club in the past. Nineteen Minutes is on our list for this year; I recommended it to our group.

My guilty reads are written by J.D. Robb and by Janet Evanovich. They are so outrageous I laugh out loud reading these authors.

I read the books mentioned on this list, one written by a PA about working in the New York Medical Examiner office after 9/11; and the book by the NP sent to work at the prison in Iraq. I don't have the names of these right now, since I loaned them both out. They were both worth reading. I get my books either from the library or buy them from www.half.com

I get a lot of reading done by listening to audiobooks from the library while driving to and from work, if you wonder how I can read this much (working 3 jobs). I request the ones I want from the library website, and they have them for pickup within a week or so.

I haven't read much except professional/educational during the past couple of years. I like fantasy. Authors include Terry Goodkind, Terry Brooks, Piers Anthony. I also enjoyed most of Tom Clancy's novels.

I'll put the "read a book" on my self care list. I'll look for McCafferty to start.

Thanks for the thread.
