I totally agree with you, Rose. Let the MDs take our board exams and see how they do especially on the provider-patient relationship questions and assessment. 

I have personally been dealing with some health issues for the past 4 months and am finally getting some answers thanks to a fabulous ID NP I saw for a MRSA sinus infection. She noticed abnormalities on blood tests, took a thorough history and recommended a course of action. I am so grateful to her and glad that I couldn't get an appointment with the ID MD.

NPs should be accountable to BON and each other not the BOM!
