[NPInfo] DNP: Bait and switch?

Changes occur in other professions as the knowledge base expands. When I first began working in the mental health field many years ago, some states required only a masters degree for licensure as a psychologist. Now most states require a doctoral degree for psychologists. I don't know how the masters level psychologists were handled when the laws changed. Maybe they were grandfathered in.

My point is that this is not a situation that is unique to nursing.

It's funny that my biggest supporters are the physicians I work with. I'm told by physicians over and over that I am better then most physicians. Don't buy into this Nursing B.S. that you are second to anyone. The ADN RN that I work with is no less then I was or am now or when I was an ADN grad. Keep the focus on providing GREAT patient care and EVERYONE wins! > > > Broc Enrique Ramón de Peña Sánchez> DNP, APRN, BC, CNAA, PMHNP, FNP-C> Dallas, Texas > > > -----Original Message-----> From: Theodore Scott <tedscott59 at cox.net>> To: 'NP Info' <npinfo at nurse.net>> Sent: Tue, 10 Jun 2008 10:09 pm> Subject: [NPInfo] DNP: Bait and switch?> > > > I am about fed up to here with this evolving mess.
