Thank you, Priscilla-- I thought I was going nuts trying to decipher those "&nspb;" and weird things all over some of the posts. No noe else seemed to mind... or notice <G>.
I agree with Shelby and Priscilla, Paula. You need to find another job again...

Is anyone else having problems reading emails from certain folks? I know
someone, I think Dena?, mentioned this in Jeff's posts. There is lots of

Paula, I agree, trying to read the gibberish, that Shelby nailed it. This
job is not good for your psyche or soul. I know you've had a rough patch of
finding a good fit.
I prescribe a cosmos or margarita with fellow listmates for some stellar
advice in DC next week!

Subject: [NPInfo] I am a scary NP!!
Well,
Of all things, my doc counselled me today because on Friday morning 2 admin
types, male and female, one a nurse manager and the other a business
manager, told him I was scary-they thought I was going to seriously lose
it-I was sweating, trembling, and I was in an exam room with a patient for
an hour!
Ok, the facts
I don't normally work Fridays, but cover for the doc when he is off.
They sent the med assistant to a training that morning, and sent me the day
before to learn how to make appts, and do the front desk work. I have
already been filing charts, rooming my pts and the doc's sometimes, doing
labs on my pts and his sometimes. The LPN was fired last February, and the
new person will not start until mid-July. They refused to hire a temp as we
"are not that busy". Mind you, I also have to 'clean' and stock the 3 exam
rooms on monday AM, plus do QA stuff in the lab.
Ok, one pt in the exam room for 1 hr-not me. In that time, I sent 2 folks to
the ER-thru the wellness nurse dropping in to report to me that 2 pts were
having trouble breathing. I spoke to one of these pts by phone twice.
I had to the EMR to write out Rxs for the pt in the exam room, including
controlled meds. Oh, I forgot, I had to push in the BR in w/c, pull her
pants down, put a hat in the toilet, and get a u/a specimen. Then, get her
up annd pull up her pants.
Do QA in the lab so I could do her u/a and draw a CBC because her partner
wanted to be sure that her swollen hot should was not infected.
Oh, I had pt scheduled. the business manager added another pt to my
schedule--while I had 4 pts scheduled to have labs drawn and one for a
Protime--that I could not do right twice, and had to have him come back in
the afternoon.
I do perspire heavily when I come into this hole in the wall clinic, esp in
the mornings. I have a fan running in my office most days. So, these 2
show up unannounced, she is checking expiration dates on meds and stopping
me in the middle of everything pointing out what she was doing. He has the
nerve to ask how did IDX training go the day before, and I know I
growled-"everyone keeps asking me why a provider has to learn this?" {not
docs though}.
ok, I am also a Scorpio, and get hot under the collar--no help, being
trained as a sec'y/MA, expect to do my own work, the MA screwed up my
time off next week with no apologies or intervention from these 2
'supervisors". noone asked me to work this friday the 20th, i just assumed i
had to. Oh, 2 recredentialing requirements are all of a sudden due-noone in
this dept gave me a clue, evertime I eail the business manager with
questions, he never answers..
Am I seeing something amiss here, or did I have a flame out, and need to be
locked away???
I am so PO'd.
