[NPInfo] To Baker Act, the verb

to Baker Act has always been a verb to me.  Florida has two broad acts to protect people.  The Myers Act was (is?) for intoxicated people.  The Baker Act is for emergency commitment.  The Baker Act is almost uniformly referred to by the state form it is written on, BA52, and shortened by most to B-52 (like the bomber).  Thus, "He's B-52'd," makes perfect sense in Jax, Tampa, Orlando, Pensacola, or Miami emergency rooms, and to virtually any sheriff or FHP trooper.
