[NPInfo] CRNAs earn more than primary care doctors?

This is nothing new. My CRNA friends can earn about any salary they want. If they need extra money, they pick up some 24 hr call shifts. They don't need to worry about billing; Rx refill phone calls; no show patients, etc.

I could have gone to anesthesia school with them (we did RN - BSN together), but I don't like working in surgery. Instead, I went to NP school, and earn less than 1/2 of their salary. My husband still thinks it was a nutty decision.
