[NPInfo] Costco

Ohhhh yessss, the rules...
always a challenge... Yes, we too challenged the local Costco on the
"only the member can pick up the prescription" nonsense, and how did they
feel about the confidentiality issues that would raise (and asked if the
pharmacist was making this rule up, or was the Pharmacist aware of this
interesting practice, etc.), and quickly found out that really what they
wanted was a legitimate photo ID such as a drivers license, and all was
well again. Our questions may have resulting in a flogging of that
particular pharmacy clerk after we left, but the pharmacist took did come
over and take the initiative to educate the staff. They were all very
helpful, friendly, etc. and seemed quite anxious to answer drug related
questions, etc. So, we continue to recommend Costco to everyone, but also
give them a heads up on some of the bumps along the way they may
encounter.
