Well, with a draft lease in hand, I have a medical director who is 90% sure
he'll work with me. I told him that the attorney who researched all the
Calif. Business and Professional Codes said that because I am a registered nurse
and not an NP yet, I'd need to form a medical corporation with my medical
director to make it legal.
Neither of us have a problem with that-I will make sure it has that the
doctor is not responsible for any money for the office . He has his own
malpractice insurance and I will have an office liability/slip and fall insurance
policy. However, he just asked me about liability issues and if he were to be
sued . Does the corporation cover any expenses that his malpractice insurance
does not?
I would like to hear from those of you with a medical director for your
practices for ideas please.
