There are new federal guidelines for disposal of medications. In our state, Group Health has started the country's largest take-back program following those guidelines for medication disposal. I combined the federal guidelines and a recent article about Group Health's program into one document, which is attached. You can also access the federal guidelines & related information @ http://www.whitehousedrugpolicy.gov/news/press07/022007.html Barbara Cheyney, RN-BC, MS School Nurse Darrington SD Darrington WA Phone: 360-436-1313 FAX: 360-436-0592 E-mail: bcheyney at dsd.k12.wa.us -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... Not all Group Health pharmacies are part of the pilot (Federal Way is not) 2. It says members, Would they be open to school districts bringing them in? 3. It states not controlled, specifically states narcotics. Many of our medications are controlled (Stimulants) Are they banned right now? Any one looking into these specific questions?
