CLINICAL NURSE SPECIALIST- Cardiovascular/Coronary Critical Care

The Clinical Nurse Specialist will function in an advanced nurse 
practice of adult
cardiovascular patients, including diagnoses of acute myocardial 
infarction, cardiomyopathy,
open heart surgery, transplant and/or mechanical assist devices. 
Responsibilities include
providing care, education, consultation, and support to clients 
(individuals, families, and groups),
emphasizing the promotion of health and the prevention of disease, 
economically and effectively
through best practice. This position plans and implements 
interventions in collaboration with
other members of health care team, and evaluates patient responses.

To qualify for this position, candidates are required to have a 
Master's degree in nursing, board
certification as a Clinical Nurse Specialist with graduate level 
training as a CNS, and APN
licensure in the State of Delaware. The successful candidate will 
also have at least 3-5 years
experience as a RN in critical care nursing to include Cardiovascular Surgery.
