Description CCMS is looking for a Nurse Practitioner to work at the 
Nephrology Clinic at Walter
Reed Army Medical Center (WRAMC) in Washington, DC. The Nurse 
Practitioner will provide
services to eligible beneficiaries of the military health care system.

Full time Monday through Friday with normal duty hours 0730 to 1630.

Job Duties to Include:
1) Nurse Practitioner shall provide centralized expertise to a 
variety of health care colleagues in
all areas of Nephrology related to care and treatment of patients.
2) Participates in the clinic nursing aspects of quality assurance in 
the Nephrology Clinic and
appropriateness of care provided.
3) Performs ongoing utilization reviews to maximize all resources 
involved with the Nephrology
Clinic.
4) Coordinate all aspects of pre-and post- chemotherapy care and 
coordinates with clinic head
nurse to determine and purchase therapeutic equipment or accessories 
in the clinic.
5) Demonstrate expertise in the nursing care of chemotherapy 
patients, serves as a resource
person with whom other unit professional and para-professional 
personnel consult on use of
equipment or procedures to employ when difficult problems arise.
6) Work with Physicians and administrative personnel in management 
and effective
communication in the clinic.
7) Coordinates patient admission and transfer.

Requirements Job Requirements:
1) Must have an active RN and NP license from one of the 50 US 
States, District of Columbia,
territory or jurisdiction.
2) Must have at least 2 years experience working as a Nurse Practitioner
3) Computer literate.
4) Must have attended ONS Chemotherapy and biotherapy course.
5) Proficient in maintaining and troubleshooting central venous 
access devices.
6) BLS through the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
