Nurse Practitioner - Multi-Specialty Clinic

The Cancer Center, South Weymouth MA

South Shore Hospital, a Level II Trauma Center, 
is conveniently located 16 miles south of
Boston, on Massachusetts’ scenic South Shore 
within easy commute of Cape Cod. While
others are status quo
we continue to grow.

We are seeking an experienced nurse practitioner 
with expertise in oncology to work in a newly
established Multi-Specialty Clinic located in our 
state of the art ambulatory Cancer Center. The
Multi-Specialty Clinic provides 
multi-disciplinary surgical care to patients coordinated through a
patient and family centered model.

Under the general guidance of the Medical 
Director of Multi-Specialty Services, the nurse
practitioner will help evaluate, diagnose, and 
treat patients with oncological diseases and
related health conditions. Working in 
collaboration with the visiting/rotating surgeons, the nurse
practitioner will be responsible for patient 
assessment, care planning, treatment, education
and monitoring. In addition, the nurse 
practitioner will develop a "patient navigator" program to
assist patients and their families with care 
coordination and support throughout the course of
the patient's cancer treatment and beyond, along 
with acting as a liaison to referring physicians
and primary care physicians as appropriate to the 
patient and physician's needs. Our center
welcomes motivated self-directed individuals who 
are looking to make an impact on the lives
of cancer patients and their families in an 
integrated model that combines the cancer care
services of two leading academic centers in a regional community setting.

Qualifications: Master of Science degree from a 
NLN accredited graduate program preferred.
Prefer three to five years of practice in the 
expanded role, preferably in an oncology specialty,
including surgical oncology. Licensed Nurse Practitioner required.
