Nurse Practitioner – Gyn Oncology

The Cancer Center, South Weymouth MA

South Shore Hospital, a Level II Trauma Center, 
is conveniently located 16 miles south of
Boston, on Massachusetts’ scenic South Shore 
within easy commute of Cape Cod. While
others are status quo
we continue to grow.

We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner 
to work in a newly established Multi-Specialty
Clinic located in our state of the art ambulatory 
Cancer Center. Under the general guidance of
the Medical Director of Multi-Specialty Clinic 
with the Cancer Center, the Nurse Practitioner will
assist and work in collaboration with the 
Gynecologic Oncologic surgeon in the medical
management of patients across the continuum of 
care. The Nurse Practitioner will be directly
assisting with patient assessment and EMR 
documentation (history and physical) for new
patients for our Gynecologic Surgeon's practice 
within the Multi-Specialty Clinic. The Nurse
Practitioner will provide independent patient 
assessment and evaluation with physician
oversight for follow-up visits within the 
ambulatory setting. Nurse Practitioners in the
Multi-Specialty Clinic will participate in the 
comprehensive care of patients in the role of
physician extenders and provide 
multi-disciplinary care coordination, treatment, education,
monitoring, and communication with referring 
physicians. This center welcomes motivated self
directed individuals who are looking to make an 
impact on the lives of cancer patients and their
families in an integrated model that combines the 
cancer care services of two leading academic
centers in a regional community setting. 
Physician Assistants meeting these requirements are
also encouraged to apply.

Qualifications:
Master of Science degree from NLNaccredited 
graduate program preferred. Prefer three to five
years of practice in the expanded role, 
preferably in oncology or gynecology. Licensed Nurse
Practitioner required. This position will take 
telephone triage call for the MD Monday-Friday.
