Psychiatric Advanced NP

Needed in Groton, CT at the Naval Branch Health Clinic's 
Psychological Health and Traumatic
Brain Injury program (PH/TBI). Individual will assess the impact of 
acute and/or chronic physical
illness, psychiatric disorders, and stressors on the family system 
and assess the interface
among the individual, family, community, and social systems & their 
relationship to MH
functioning. Develop a treatment plan for MH problems and psych. 
disorders based on
bio-psychosocial theories. Identify/analyze factors that affect MH, 
i.e. genetics, family environ.
trauma, psychodynamics, etc. and the relationship between normal 
physiology & specific
system alterations associated w/ MH problems, psych disorders, & 
treatment. Possess current
cert. as a NP from (ANCC) or (AANP); successfully completed 30 hrs of 
education in
pharmacology for advance nursing practice & possess a min. of 1 yr 
prof. exp. w/in the last 3 yrs
as a Psych. Adv. NP in a primary care setting seeing/treating adult 
patients with TBI symptoms.
