Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) – Swedish First Hill Surgeons

Swedish Medical Group is recruiting for an 
Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) to
join the clinical team for the General Surgery 
and Breast Surgery Programs in Issaquah.

DUTIES:
The ARNP is responsible for the provision of 
defined care of assigned general surgery and
breast surgery patients. The ARNP is also 
involved with the development and implementation
of process of care initiatives designed to 
improve clinical outcomes for patients in both
programs. Clinical responsibilities include the 
assessment, medical management, and
provision of care for assigned outpatients and 
inpatients within the appropriate scope of
practice. The ARNP works as a medical resource 
and provides work-ups as indicated for
patients. THE ARNP will collaborate, communicate, 
and coordinate patient care with the SMG
general and breast surgeons, referring 
physicians, inter/multi-disciplinary team members,
patients and families. The ARNP takes a 
leadership role in developing and implementing
process of care improvements across the continuum 
of care and across all clinical sites where
care is delivered to SMG general and breast 
surgery patients in Issaquah, including the Swedish
Medical Center in Issaquah, the medical office 
building, the SCI outpatient facility, outpatient and
inpatient surgery and possibly other sites as determined.

REQUIREMENTS:
Master's degree in Nursing and Advanced degree in 
Nurse Practitioner program required.
Licensure as a RN and an ARNP in the State of 
Washington and ANA certification as a Nurse
Practitioner also required. Current DEA number or 
can achieve within 90 days of hire. Two or
more years experience as an ARNP with general, 
breast or other surgery specialization
preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal 
skills; effective leadership skills; and, ability
to work independently, problem-solve, and prioritize are essential.
