*PNP/PA Hospitalist*

This inpatient management team has an opportunity for a PNP/PA Hospitalist
providing acute care to hospitalized pediatric patients including 
premature neonates,
infants, children and adolescents. The Hospitalist is responsible for 
patients from
admission to discharge, ensuring the success of each patient's treatment 
plan,
recommending therapeutic interventions and providing patient/family 
education prior
to discharge. Practitioner may occasionally be called upon for pediatric 
consults in
the emergency department of this 85 bed facility. Formal training in 
pediatrics,
required; two years of pediatric work experience or completion of 
certified Pediatric
PA or PNP residency in pediatric and neonatal medicine, preferred; 
current State of
Connecticut PNP, PA or APRN licensure, required; PA certification prior 
to hire,
required; APN certification upon hire, required; pediatric advanced life 
support (PALS)
and NALS certifications within 3 months of hire, required. Position is 
also open to
Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants who are certified in Family 
Medicine.
