*Part-time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner *

*_Essential Duties/Responsibilities:_*
* Prescribes psychotropic medications and orders drugs for specific 
therapy regimens
* Evaluates psychosocial behavior patterns of patients
* Performs secondary screening and diagnosis of psychiatric conditions
* Performs on-going evaluation of severe and persistent mentally ill
* Consults with specialists concerning specific medical problems of 
patients
* Advises physician of psychiatric history, treatment, prescriptions, 
and medical regimens
* Provides face-to-face and phone intervention, evaluation, treatment, 
and referral for
psychiatric emergencies
* Makes referrals to other mental health services and/or to other 
support services in the
community
* Clients are seen in community-based settings, some travel required

*_Education/Licensing Requirements:_*
* Graduate of an accredited college or university with a masters in Nursing
* Registered as Nurse Practitioner with the Washington Board of Nursing 
with psychiatric
component
