*NP, Nurse Practitioner - Wound Care (Baltimore, MD/ Washington DC) *

*-Compensation: Salary is competitive

Group surgical wound care practice based in Baltimore/Greater 
Baltimore/Washington, DC
area have a position available to serve nursing homes and acute care 
centers with wound
care management. Details are below. Salary is competitive. The ideal 
candidate must be a
Nurse Practitioner with Wound Care experience, preferable wound care 
certified, CWS.
Candidate must have at least 1 year of experience in the Practitioner 
field.

*Job Summary:*
Function in an expanded nursing practitioner role under approved 
protocols and plastic
surgery team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized 
patient care for wound
care management at nursing homes, rehabilitation facilities.

*Qualifications:*
The following qualifications are the minimum necessary to adequately 
perform this job.
However, any equivalent combination of experience, education and 
training which provides
the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities would be acceptable, 
subject to any legal
and/or regulatory requirements needed.

*Education and formal training:*
Graduate of Accredited Nurse Practitioner Program; Registered Nurse 
currently licensed
in Maryland and or Washington, DC; M.S. in Nursing; certified by N.C.C.; 
Maryland/
Washington, DC by the Maryland/Washington, DC Board of Nursing and Maryland/
Washington, DC Board of Medical Examiners. Work experience: One-Two years'
experience in wound care management care preferred. Knowledge, skills 
and abilities
required: Ability to successfully complete generic and 
department-specific skills validation
and competency testing. Physical requirements: Stand and move around 
majority of the
day; climb (to reach patient care equipment); lift patients and 
equipment; see, hear, speak,
smell, and touch. Wound care certification preferred, can also train 
nurse to obtain CWS.
