Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
The Cardio Vascular Institute of North Colorado 
offers the area’s most advanced heart care –
from state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging to 
leading edge open heart surgery. Named by
Thomson Top Hospitals as one of the nation’s best 
for cardiovascular care in 2007, the
Cardio Vascular Institute of North Colorado is 
expanding services to Sterling (population
14,000), 120 miles northeast of Denver on the 
high plains of Colorado. This is a full-time
Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant 
opportunity; 40 hours per week, work either 8-hr or
10-hr shifts 5 or 4 days per week Monday – Friday.

The NP or PA will provide consults, follow-up and 
limited diagnostic services to Sterling
Regional MedCenter, Banner Health’s Sterling 
hospital, and the Cardio Vascular Institute of
North Colorado’s new Sterling clinic. Will also 
provide outreach services to other communities
in the Sterling area.

Required:
* Credentials as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
* Possess a broad range of outpatient clinic, 
patient assessment, intervention and treatment
skills.
* Ability to manage the care of adult patients 
requiring ongoing care in the outpatient clinic
setting.

Preferred:
* Clinical knowledge in the diagnosis and 
treatment of cardiovascular disease through the
use of diagnostic equipment and physical examination.
* Ability to interpret cardiac rhythms through 
diagnostic testing (EKG, holter, event, ETT).
