Practitioners to become part of our team!

Position Overview:
Our Nurse Practitioners will work with the colorectal surgeon and/or 
referring physician to
augment the physician's ability to provide clinic and hospital based 
medical/colorectal care by
assisting in surgery and providing pre/post-operative care.

Requirements:
* 1 year NP clinical experience (may be willing to train a dynamic new grad!)
* Surgical experience preferred
* Must have MS in Science in Nursing/Nurse Practitioner with current 
Minnesota license (or
the ability to obtain a MN license).

History
Founded and incorporated in 1963 by Dr. Howard M. Frykman and Dr. 
Stanley M. Goldberg
as Frykman and Goldberg P.A., Colon and Rectal Surgery Associates 
Ltd. has grown to
integrate private practice with world renowned teaching and research. 
Since its inception, the
Corporation through its affiliation with the University of Minnesota, 
Division of Colon and
Rectal Surgery, and more recently, the Minnesota Colon and Rectal 
Foundation, has funded
and participated in the training of over 100 certified colon and 
rectal surgeons. In the year
2000 we celebrated the 50th Anniversary of this program -- the oldest 
of such programs in the
United States. Many of these surgeons have gone on to prominent 
teaching positions in
various departments of surgery all over the world. As many as four 
residents each year
participate in this intense training program. These individuals are 
general surgeons who are
pursuing additional training to gain expertise in the specialty of 
colon and rectal surgery. As a
practice, we are dedicated to a high level of specialty training and 
encourage interaction
between our residents and our patients. All of the partners are 
engaged in ongoing research
and are widely published in their field. An annual course for 
surgeons, which attracts
hundreds of participants from around the world, is also an integral 
part of our mission. As the
largest practice of certified colon and rectal surgeons in the world, 
the partners and staff of
Colon and Rectal Surgery Associates Ltd. are committed to patient 
care, teaching, and
research in conjunction with the outstanding hospitals in the Twin 
Cities community.
